Lawyers Mutual bids farewell to long time Vice President of Claims, Will Graebe. Will will be retiring after 20 years of service to Lawyers Mutual. Claire Modlin, who is currently Senior Claims Counsel, will assume the role of VP of Claims.

Will Graebe joined Lawyers Mutual in 1998 and was named VP of Claims in 2009. Prior to joining Lawyers Mutual, he worked at the law firm of Pinna, Johnston & Burwell. Will graduated from Stetson University and Wake Forest University School of Law.

“This transition is bittersweet as I am excited about my future and pursuit of other interests. However, I will deeply miss the colleagues who have become family.  It has been both a privilege and honor to serve the legal community in such a capacity. I leave with confidence knowing that Claire will continue to lead the Lawyers Mutual claims department with integrity and dedication,” says Will.

“I have spent 20 years with Lawyers Mutual and have built many valuable relationships that I hope to continue as I transition into the next phase of my life. I can proudly reflect on the accomplishments that we have achieved,” Will continued. “It has been an honor to serve, grow and learn for the past 20 years.”

Claire Modlin joined Lawyers Mutual in 2017. Prior to joining Lawyers Mutual, she practiced in the areas of civil litigation, medical malpractice defense, alternate dispute resolution, breach of contract, insurance defense, transportation, environmental and toxic torts, pharmaceutical and antitrust litigation. Claire brings a wealth of litigation and risk management experience to Lawyers Mutual after actively practicing in both large and medium sized firms in North Carolina for 22 years.

“It has been a pleasure to work with Will and learn from him. He has gone above and beyond to ensure a smooth transition. I am excited about the future and look forward to upholding the Lawyers Mutual standard of exceptional service,” says Claire.

Will and Claire will continue to work together through the end of 2018 when Will officially bids farewell to Lawyers Mutual.
