LM Welcomes Summer Intern, Shereena Kamal

Lawyers Mutual is pleased to welcome summer intern, Shereena Kamal, a 1L at Elon University School of Law. Shereena earned her undergraduate degree from the North Carolina State University in 2022, graduating cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science and a Minor in Business Administration.

Shereena joins the Lawyers Mutual team for six weeks, working in the Cary office. Summer interns at Lawyers Mutual work closely with claims attorneys and other departments to gain practical legal experience conducting research, drafting documents and attending mediations and arbitrations. Shereena plans to engage the legal community at in-person and virtual events across the triangle to grow her professionalism and networking skills. As a company that places value of meaningful relationships, Lawyer Mutual helps summer interns make connections in the legal community that will benefit them as they continue their education and transition into practice.

Lawyers Mutual annually engages the North Carolina Bar Association’s Minorities in the Profession (MIP) Summer Associate Program to hire one of the state’s brightest minority law students. About the Minorities in the Profession Committee

The Minorities in the Profession Committee (MIP) is a committee of the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) dedicated to promoting an increased presence of minorities in the legal profession; the ongoing education of minorities in the legal profession; the betterment of life for those minorities in the legal profession; providing the public with quality information regarding issues of concern to minority lawyers; and educating the public about the contributions of North Carolina’s minority lawyers.


About Shereena

Shereena is a rising 2L at Elon University School of Law. She earned her undergraduate degree from the North Carolina State University in 2022, graduating cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science and a Minor in Business Administration. During her 1L year at Elon, Shereena was a Dean’s Scholar and a Business Fellow, and she participated in the Business Law Associaiton and the Innocence Project.
