Lawyers Mutual welcomes seventh summer associate through NCBA’s Minorities in the Profession Committee program
Lawyers Mutual is pleased to welcome Cynthia Hernandez, a 1L at Elon University School of Law. Lawyers Mutual partnered once again with the North Carolina Bar Association’s Minorities in the Profession (“MIP”) Summer Associate Program to hire one of the state’s brightest minority law students. Lawyers Mutual is committed to investing in the future of the profession and partnering with the MIP Committee has been a great way to do so.
Cynthia Hernandez joins the team at Lawyers Mutual for six weeks. Lawyers Mutual summer associates work closely with claims attorneys and obtain experience conducting research, drafting documents and attending mediations. Summer associates also write at least one post for the Byte of Prevention blog. During the six weeks, Cynthia will have the opportunity to attend programs and meetings with other legal professionals. As a company that places value of meaningful relationships, Lawyer Mutual helps summer associates make connections in the legal community that will benefit them as they continue their education and transition into practice.
“The partnership between Lawyers Mutual and the MIP Committee allows us to continue our support of the legal community by providing a practical learning opportunity for a motivated first year law student. We are delighted to welcome Cynthia to the Lawyers Mutual team for the summer and expose her to interesting legal matters and valuable networking opportunities. Cynthia represents the future of the profession, so we all gain from the experience,” says Director of Client Services Julie Beavers.
