Lawyers Mutual Announces Changes to its Board of Directors

Lawyers Mutual is pleased to announce changes to its Board of Directors. Lawyers Mutual welcomes new board member Katherine (Katie) Davis to its Board of Directors, and announces John May's status has changed to Director Emeritus.

Katie is a partner in Huggins, Pounds & Davis, L.L.P. in Lumberton, NC. She received her undergraduate degree and her J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She practices personal injury and real estate, and is a former member of the Lawyers Mutual Eastern NC Community Board.

John May joined the Board of Directors of Lawyers Mutual in 2010. As an attorney with the Pinehurst firm of Robbins, May & Rich LLP, his practice covers business and real estate transactions, including estate and tax matters. In addition to service on the Lawyers Mutual Board of Directors, John has been active in numerous North Carolina Associations; he was a member of the North Carolina State Bar, serving as Chair of CLE Board in 2000-2001; a member of the Disciplinary Hearing Committee from 2003 to 2007; and a Trustee for the North Carolina Hospital Association.

Dan Zureich, President and CEO of Lawyers Mutual says, “We are excited about the perspective Katie adds to the Board. She brings lots of talent, energy, and practice expertise to the table.  I would also like to take this opportunity to thank John May for the many contributions he has made to the success of Lawyers Mutual, most recently as Chair of the Governance Committee.  He will certainly be missed.”

We would like to thank John for all his work on behalf of Lawyers Mutual and its insureds, and welcome Katie to the Board!
