Laura M. Loyek   |  Claims Counsel

Laura Loyek came to Lawyers Mutual as a claims attorney in 2009.  Her focus areas include estates and trusts, litigation, appellate law, bankruptcy, and ethics.  Prior to joining Lawyers Mutual, Laura practiced with the law firms of Smith Moore and K&L Gates.  She received her J.D. from Harvard Law School and her undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University.  Laura serves on the Professionalism Committee of the Wake County Bar Association. She is a longtime member of North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys and served on the Board of NCAWA for several years, including as President in 2021.  Laura is also a member of the Insurance and Estates Sections of the NCBA, the NCBA’s Women in the Profession Committee, and Wake Women Attorneys.
