NCAOC announces go-live date for eCourts File & Serve Track 1 - February 13, 2023
The Odyssey eCourts File and Serve go-live date for the four pilot counties (Wake, Harnett, Lee & Johnston) is rescheduled for Monday, February 13, 2023.
Valerie Johnson joined the Lawyers Mutual Board in 2015. Valerie co-founded her firm, Johnson & Groninger PLLC, in 2011. The firm has offices in Durham and Charlotte and concentrates in the areas of workers’ compensation law, personal injury, and bicycle crash cases. Prior to the formation of Johnson & Groninger, Ms. Johnson's practice focused on litigation with Patterson Harkavy LLP, a plaintiffs' civil rights, labor, and employment firm. Valorie teaches trial advocacy at the University of North Carolina School of Law and has taught workers’ compensation law at the Wake Forest University School of Law. She serves on the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice as the vice president of education. She is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina Association of Black Lawyers, and the American Advocates for Justice. Ms. Johnson was admitted to the National Academy of Social Insurance in 2011. She is the co-editor of the treatise North Carolina Workers’ Compensation Law: A Practical Guide to Success at Every Stage of a Claim. She is board certified in workers’ compensation law and is a frequent speaker on legal and litigation topics. Ms. Johnson is a graduate of UNC and the UNC School of Law.
