Temporary Emergency Video Notarization Law Expires March 1, 2021
Sharon L. Parker, who manages her own firm, Sharon L. Parker, P.A., joined the Lawyers Mutual Board in 1999. Sharon spent many years in practice with the Marion, NC law firm, Dameron & Burgin, the predecessor to Dameron, Burgin, Parker, Jackson, Wilde & Walker, P.A. that closed in 2012. Her practice focuses on business law, estate planning and administration, health care law and board governance law. Sharon has been active in various bar associations throughout North Carolina, serving on the Board of Governors of the North Carolina Bar Association and the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys. She has been honored with the Gwyeth B. Davis Award from the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys for outstanding contribution to the promotion of women lawyers and the rights of women under the law. In 2010, she received the Governor’s Medallion Award for Voluntary Service from the N.C. Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service for her contribution as a volunteer. Sharon has also served as a director and President of Catawba Valley Legal Services.
