O. Richard Wright, Jr.

A former member of the North Carolina House of Representatives, Mr. Wright practices law with the McGougan Law Firm in Tabor City, specializing in real estate, social security and disability law, and trusts and estates.  Mr. Wright graduated from the University of North Carolina and the University of North Carolina School of Law and has served as the President of the UNC Law Alumni Association.  An active participant in his community, Mr. Wright has served as President of the Southeastern Community College Foundation and as a Director of the Cooperative Bank for Savings.  Mr. Wright has been a member of the Lawyers Mutual Board since 1991 and is considered to be the resident Board expert on the history of the Cape Fear region of North Carolina.
